I’m a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Coaching Psychologist, Associate Fellow of British Psychological Society (BPS), Certified Principal Business Psychologist and registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (Practitoner Psychologist). I’m a member of both the Division of Coaching Psychology and the International Society for Coaching Psychology and am also on the BPS Register of Coaching Psychologists. I’m working towards a Chartered Coaching Psychology qualification – I’m hoping I get a special badge if I’m doubly chartered in two types of psychology!
I’ve got qualifications in stress management, performance coaching, systemic coaching, transitions and developmental coaching. I have a basic level certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, plus one in Problem Focused Counselling, and am dipping my toes into Internal Family Systems therapy and ACT. Additionally I’m a certified organisational mediator.*
My past experience has included facilitating leadership development for the UK’s National Health Service and working for many years at global professional services and management consultancy firm KPMG. Here I built their Executive Development Centre, set up global coaching communities, ran research and a lot of client work (communications, training, change management, culture change). I’ve been Head of Leadership Development for Lloyds Bank and Santander in the UK, along with working at two boutique people development and psychology consultancies. See some of the companies I’ve worked with below.
A long while ago I was on TV talking about psychology, wrote blogs for HR websites and articles for The British Journal of Leadership in Public Services, plus lectured at Kings College London on their Diploma in Organisational Psychology and Psychiatry. I also wrote a coaching blog for 18 months called Spoon by Spoon. I’m currently writing a book called Swim, Jump, or Fly: A guide to changing your life. It should be out in the summer!
That’s enough about me, what about you?
*Now for the serious bit I am DBS certified and have professional civil liability insurance for psychology services (indemnity liability £3 million/public liability of £10 million).
